Ospreys Secure Prop Cam Jones with New Contract
Ospreys, the Welsh rugby union team, have announced the signing of a new contract with prop Cam Jones, keeping the 22-year-old talent at the club. Jones, a product of the local Gowerton RFC, made his Ospreys debut earlier this year in the team’s European Challenge Cup victory over Emirates Lions.
Currently on loan at the South African side Toyota Cheetahs, Jones expressed his delight at extending his stay with Ospreys. > “This is my home club and the team where I started my career, so it’s great to be staying with the Ospreys,” he said. “I’ve had a great opportunity to be at the Cheetahs this season with a few of the boys, and we’re all really enjoying our time here.”
Ospreys head coach Toby Booth praised Jones, stating, > “Cam is another one of our young, homegrown players that we have high hopes for. Being out on loan with the Cheetahs will be a great early experience for his development, and we’re looking forward to seeing how he pushes on when he returns to us in pre-season.”
The new contract solidifies Jones’ future with the Ospreys, providing the talented prop with the opportunity to further his rugby union career at the Welsh club.
