Ospreys Announce Exciting Move to St Helen’s Stadium in Swansea

The Ospreys have shared the 21,000-capacity Swansea.com Stadium with Swansea City FC since 2005, but the team has now opted for the renowned St Helen’s ground, where Wales played their first-ever international rugby match in 1882.
According to the Ospreys’ statement, the move will involve a “multi-million pound investment” in the St Helen’s facility. This investment will include the installation of a new 4G pitch, the construction of new stands, a refurbishment of the clubhouse, and the introduction of a fan zone area. The aim is to provide supporters with an unrivaled matchday experience and explore new opportunities for non-matchday events and revenue.
The decision to choose St Helen’s over the Brewery Field in Bridgend, which was also considered, was driven by the region’s desire to remain close to its core supporter and sponsor bases. The Ospreys believe that the move will “inject new life into the famous St Helen’s Sports Ground” and allow them to work closely with the City and County of Swansea Council.
