Bath Bolster Squad with Signing of Ex-St Helens Winger Regan Grace
Bath have secured the services of former St Helens rugby league star Regan Grace, inking a contract with the 27-year-old that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2024-25 season. The deal also includes an option to extend Grace’s stay for the 2025-26 campaign.
Grace joined Bath in February as he recovered from a long-term Achilles injury sustained while playing for St Helens in August 2022. The Welsh-born back featured in two pre-season friendlies for his new club against Gloucester and Leinster in March.
Prior to his move to rugby union, Grace spent six successful seasons with St Helens, helping the club secure three Super League Grand Final titles and the Challenge Cup. During this time, he amassed an impressive tally of 88 tries in 141 appearances.
“Regan has impressed both on and off the pitch over the last few months,” said Bath’s head of rugby, Johann van Graan. “He has a clear point of difference in his play and that will be very valuable for our team. It’s great to have Regan on board.”
After joining Racing 92 in France, Grace suffered a relapse of his Achilles injury in February 2023, leading to his switch to Bath.
The addition of Grace to Bath’s roster will undoubtedly bolster their backline options as they look to improve on their recent performances in the Gallagher Premiership and European competitions.
