Cardiff Lock Seb Davies Faces Three-Game Ban Following Red Card Incident
Cardiff’s Seb Davies has been handed a three-game suspension following his red card against Ospreys in the United Rugby Championship. The Wales lock, who came on as a replacement, was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Owen Watkin late in the Judgement Day match at Cardiff City Stadium last Saturday.
Davies accepted the offence and was given a three-week ban, which will be reduced by an additional week if he completes a World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme. The suspension will be served during the pre-season period before the 2024-25 season, ensuring Davies will not miss any competitive matches.
“The 27-year-old, who has won 17 caps for the Wales national team since making his senior debut in 2017, will now focus on his rehabilitation and preparation for the upcoming campaign.”
