Cardiff Rugby Delighted to Retain Star Centre Rey Lee-Lo for Another Season

Cardiff Rugby head coach Matt Sherratt has expressed his delight in securing the services of star centre Rey Lee-Lo for another season. “He has been one of the leading centres in European rugby for a number of years and showed he can still perform at a consistently high level throughout last season,” Sherratt praised.

The experienced Samoan international has been a crucial presence both on and off the pitch for the young Cardiff squad. “He has been there and done it and is a great experienced, senior presence for our young players,” Sherratt explained. “It is no coincidence that the likes of Ben Thomas and Mason Grady have developed so well with Rey often next to them.“

In addition to retaining Lee-Lo, Cardiff have bolstered their roster with several new signings, including former Newcastle duo Ryan Jennings and Iwan Stephens, ex-Bristol pair Callum Sheedy and Dan Thomas, as well as props Ed Byrne and Danny Southworth and wing Gabriel Hamer-Webb.

The club has also secured the futures of several promising young talents, with Grady, Domachowski, Belcher, Assiratti, Winnett, Mann, Martin, Lloyd, Millard, Botham, Beetham, Lawrence and Hughes all committing their long-term futures to the Arms Park.

However, Cardiff will bid farewell to several key players, including Tomos Williams, Rhys Carre, Owen Lane, Ciaran Parker, Aled Summerhill, Arwel Robson, Max Clark, Gonzalo Bertranou, Matthew Aubrey and Willis Halaholo.
