Veteran Scrum-Half Danny Care Extends Harlequins Contract for 19th Season
Scrum-half Danny Care Signs New Contract with Harlequins
Scrum-half Danny Care has signed a new contract with Harlequins, keeping him at the London club for a remarkable 19th season. The 37-year-old former England international, who recently retired from Test rugby after earning 101 caps, has decided to reject lucrative offers from French clubs to continue his long-standing association with Quins.
Care, who joined the club from Leeds in 2006, has made a record 374 first-team appearances for Harlequins and has scored over 100 tries during his illustrious career with the team. The veteran player expressed his excitement about extending his contract, stating, “This is my home, I love everything about it, the rugby we play, our amazing fans, and the memories we have made together.”
Harlequins Focused on Premiership Title
Despite Harlequins’ loss to Toulouse in the Champions Cup semi-final last Sunday, the team is now focused on securing the Premiership title. Meanwhile, London is set to host a blockbuster weekend of rugby finals, with the Champions Cup Final on May 25 now a sell-out at Tottenham Stadium and a spike in sales for the Challenge Cup Final the previous night between Gloucester and the Sharks from Durban.
