Dragons Sign Versatile Talent Harry Wilson from NSW Waratahs for 2024-25 Season
In a notable move, the Dragons have secured the signing of Harry Wilson from the Super Rugby side NSW Waratahs. The 23-year-old, who can play as a centre, wing, or full-back, will join the Welsh club for the 2024-25 season once his current commitments with the Waratahs are complete.
Wilson, who has made four appearances for the Waratahs this season and scored one try, expressed his enthusiasm about the new challenge. “I’m excited at the prospect of becoming a Dragon and linking up with my new team-mates this summer,” he said. “I’ve spoken to [Dragons head coach] Dai Flanagan about the club’s vision and targets going forward, and I look forward to being a big part of a new-look squad and testing myself in a new competition.”
The versatile player acknowledged the significance of the move, stating, “It’s a big opportunity for me to move to Wales and a new challenge that I plan to fully embrace.”
With his ability to adapt to multiple positions, Wilson’s addition will undoubtedly strengthen the Dragons’ backline and provide valuable depth to their squad. Fans of the club can anticipate an exciting new chapter as the team prepares to welcome this promising talent to Rodney Parade.
