Solihull-born Ellis Bevan Inks Long-term Cardiff Contract
(Cardiff, Wales) – Scrum-half Ellis Bevan has signed a new long-term deal with Cardiff, the club announced today. The 24-year-old, who previously played for the Wales Under-20s after being identified through the Welsh Exiles programme, will continue representing the Blue and Blacks.
Head coach Matt Sherratt expressed his delight at securing Bevan’s services, stating, “> Ellis has always been a superb professional, who is highly motivated to improve and reach as high a level in the game as he possibly can.”
Bevan, who joined Cardiff in 2018, shared his aspirations for the future, commenting, “> Hopefully I can achieve international honours which is a significant aspiration of mine.” The club did not disclose specifics regarding the length of the new contract.
This long-term commitment from the talented young scrum-half underscores Cardiff’s efforts to retain and develop homegrown Welsh rugby union talent. Bevan’s continued presence in the squad is expected to bolster the team’s ambitions in the upcoming seasons.
