It was a day to remember for English rugby fans as the national team delivered a dominant performance at Twickenham. John Mitchell’s side stayed on course for a third consecutive Grand Slam, thrashing Ireland 77-3 in front of a packed crowd of 48,778.
The Red Roses were simply unstoppable, scoring 14 tries in a one-sided affair. Ellie Kildunne and Abby Dow both grabbed hat-tricks, while Jess Breach, Megan Jones, and Zoe Aldcroft also crossed the whitewash. Fly-half Helena Aitchison added nine conversions to complete the scoring.
