Wales Captain Jac Morgan Set to Make Ospreys Comeback
Flanker Sidelined Since Knee Surgery, Returns Next Month
Wales captain Jac Morgan is set to make his long-awaited return to the pitch for Ospreys in their upcoming fixture against Leinster next month. The flanker has been sidelined since undergoing knee surgery in December of last year.
According to Ospreys, the talented back-row, who captained the Welsh national team to the World Cup quarter-finals last summer, will be available for selection in their May 11th encounter against the Irish province in Dublin.
While Morgan will not feature in Ospreys’ next two league matches, the club will welcome back Wales hooker Dewi Lake, who is recovering from a lengthy injury. Ospreys head coach Toby Booth expressed his delight at the prospect of having both Morgan and Lake back in contention.
“With Jac and Dewi both around, it’s fair to say training has gone up a level on the competitive front,” Booth remarked. “But that’s what you want as you’re going to be challenged in the game. To get some strength in depth back in hooker and back-row is good for us.”
The return of these key players will undoubtedly bolster Ospreys’ lineup as they look to continue their campaign in the highly competitive world of rugby union.
