Wales National Rugby Union Team’s Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake to Miss Ospreys’ South Africa Tour
Flanker Jac Morgan and hooker Dewi Lake, both former captains of the Wales Under-20s squad, will be absent from Ospreys’ upcoming two-match United Rugby Championship (URC) tour of South Africa. The pair, who were recently named as co-captains of the Welsh national team for the 2023 World Cup, have traveled with the Ospreys squad but will miss the opening game against Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday.
While Lake, 24, has an outside chance of featuring in the match against Bulls on April 27th, Morgan, also 24, has been sidelined since undergoing knee surgery last December. Lake, on the other hand, suffered a hamstring injury the following month, causing him to miss the Six Nations tournament.

The Ospreys squad will also welcome back the on-loan Cheetahs trio of Evardi Boshoff, Jeandre Rudolph, and Victor Sekekete, who have rejoined the team after being unavailable for European competition.
Ospreys Focused on URC Play-off Spot
After a disappointing loss to Gloucester in the European Challenge Cup quarter-final, the Ospreys are now focused on securing a URC play-off spot by finishing in the top eight. Currently sitting in seventh place, Toby Booth’s side has five regular-season matches remaining in their quest for a strong finish to the campaign.
