Brace for an Exhilarating Autumn Nations Series Clash: Wales Take On Australia
As the Autumn Nations Series continues, Wales will host Australia at the iconic Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Sunday, November 17th, with kick-off scheduled for 16:10 GMT.
Wales scrum-half Tomos Williams has been ruled out of the match due to a shoulder injury sustained in the previous 24-19 defeat against Fiji. His place will be taken by Cardiff’s Ellis Bevan.
Head coach Warren Gatland has made four changes to the starting lineup as Wales strive to avoid a record 11th consecutive international defeat. Scarlets wing Tom Rogers replaces the injured Mason Grady, while flankers Jac Morgan and James Botham come in for Taine Plumtree and Tommy Reffell.
Dragons scrum-half Rhodri Williams, who last represented Wales over a decade ago, has been named on the replacements’ bench. Morgan will make his first international start since the 2023 World Cup quarter-final defeat against Argentina in Marseille.
“After the disappointing loss against Fiji, Wales are determined to bounce back against a formidable Australian side.”
The Wallabies arrive in Cardiff on the back of a stunning 42-37 victory over England and have won nine of their last 11 fixtures at the Principality Stadium.
The stage is set for an enthralling clash as Wales look to end their dismal run of form and get their Autumn Nations Series campaign back on track against the visiting Australians.
