SUMMARY

The report, prepared under the theme of “Satisfaction Index,” aims to examine individuals' satisfaction trends over time and how their perceptions of satisfaction in different areas (personal life, health, country conditions) are shaped. The Satisfaction Index, which KONDA Barometer has measured regularly since March 2010, evaluates individuals' levels of satisfaction with both their own lives and Turkey's overall situation on a scale of 0-100 points. The report also addresses the course of political preferences and the behavior of society during the pandemic. The public's perception of inflation and morale index are also among the topics covered in the report. Finally, the report sheds light on events that have remained in the public's memory throughout 2021, while also revealing awareness and attitudes towards climate change.

KONDA Research has been conducting a series of political and social surveys under the name BAROMETER on a monthly basis since 2010. In addition to the standard questions we regularly ask in each BAROMETER survey regarding demographic characteristics, political preferences, and economic expectations, questions are also asked to gauge the public's view on issues currently on the public agenda and to measure perceptions and expectations in different areas. The research underlying the 126th report in the Barometer research series was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 3,634 people in their homes in 186 neighborhoods and villages in 117 districts, including the centers of 31 provinces, on December 4-5, 2021.
