In this chapter the society's psychological wellbeing level as measured with the WHO-5 index is being evaluated via comparisons with pandemic era levels.
Although the psychological well-being level of society has increased compared to the pandemic period, it is noteworthy that it remains low for nearly half the population. The proportions of those feeling cheerful and joyful, as well as those feeling calm and relaxed, have increased relative to the pandemic era. One of the most fundamental variables determining psychological well-being is the economic situation; a positive relationship is observed between income level and psychological well-being. The political group with the highest proportion of individuals scoring below 50 in psychological well-being consists of those who state they will not vote. Meanwhile, the political group with the highest proportion of those scoring 28 and below is DEM Party voters.
