SUMMARY

This section includes an analysis of who sacrificed animals during Eid al-Adha in 2025, who donated instead, and the changing trends in sacrifice practices over the years:

  • Have You Performed an Animal Sacrifice?

The tendency to perform animal sacrifice during Eid al-Adha has changed only marginally over the past 10 years. While the proportion of those performing sacrifice has seen a very limited decline, the rate of donations to aid organizations appears to have increased over the last 10 years. The tendency to donate is rising among both modern and conservative segments of society. The political group with the highest rate of animal sacrifice is the AK Party voters, whereas the group with the highest donation rate consists of CHP voters.
