In this section, the country's current employment demographics are examined across specific groups: white-collar workers, the unemployed, housewives, and NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth.
Labor demographic analyses show that precarious work is rising, the share of private sector workers is increasing, and the proportion of housewives is decreasing. Roughly one in two people is working in some capacity. The upward trend in the proportion of private-sector employees among white-collar workers continues. Opposition supporters are in the majority across all clusters of this group, including civil servants, which disproves the assumption that civil servants are pro-government. 6 out of every 10 unemployed people are in the 18-32 age range. The rate of university graduates among the unemployed is higher than the rate among both the employed and the general population of Turkey. The downward trend in the proportion of housewives also continues. The number of NEET youth is around 6 million, the majority of whom are women. They prefer the ruling bloc less than the general society but more than the general youth population; simultaneously, they are more undecided than both of these groups.
