SUMMARY

The section tracks monthly trends in public expectations regarding the economic crisis, personal financial difficulties, and the ability to make ends meet:

  • Did you make ends meet last month? (January'22-January'25)
  • People expecting an economic crisis in Turkey in the coming months (January'22-January'25)
  • Individuals anticipating financial hardship in their own lives (January 2022 – January 2025).

In a general sense, the expectation of crisis and economic hardship continues its downward trend; however, the rate of those unable to make ends meet has increased. Although the hardship felt across society has risen, future expectations regarding the state of the economy are optimistic. The highest expectations of crisis and economic hardship were measured among DEM, IYI, and CHP voters, while the lowest expectations were measured among AK Party voters.
