Climate Change

SUMMARY

The section includes the annual KONDA survey trend on the concern about climate change. In addition, in the Climate Change Perception section, where we cover a special topic on climate change every year, this year attitudes towards the climate law are analyzed:

• Do you think irregular weather events such as floods, storms, extreme temperatures, droughts have increased or decreased in Turkey in recent years?
  
• Have you heard about the climate law being discussed in parliament?

In Turkey, 7 out of 10 people are worried about climate change. Furthermore, while 7 out of every 10 people think that climate change is a result of human activities, the proportion of those who do not believe in climate change is at its highest level to date. Although climate change is broadly perceived as a crisis, the climate law currently being discussed in parliament is not known. 7 out of 10 people are completely unaware of the climate law. The biggest expectation from the climate legislation is that clean energy sources will be placed at the center of focus.
