The public's perception of inflation over the past 12 months averaged 108% in September, but fell to 92% in October. Similarly, inflation expectations for the next 12 months stood at 106% in September, but fell by 7 points to 99% in October.
As of October 2025, both inflation perceptions and expectations have declined. The inflation expectations of Erdoğan voters, which had risen last month, fell back to their previous levels in October. Among those who postponed their shopping until the November discount period, inflation expectations were significantly higher, especially among those who postponed their essential expenses until this period. Furthermore, parents who send their children to public schools have higher inflation expectations than those who send their children to private schools.
