Analysis of Political Party Leaders' Speeches

SUMMARY

In this section, the group speeches of political party leaders during the October-November 2023 period are examined using statistical text analysis methods. The study reveals the weight leaders gave to the categories of “populism,” “political issues,” and “March 31 elections” in their speeches, as well as the keywords they used:

• What are the percentage weights of the word group “populism” in the leaders' speech texts?
• What are the political issues (economy, justice, terrorism, etc.) that the leaders emphasize the most?
• What is the place of references to the March 31 local elections in the speeches?
• What are the speech profiles of each leader (Erdoğan, Bahçeli, Kılıçdaroğlu, Özel, Akşener, Karamollaoğlu)?
