SUMMARY

This section consists of questions designed to comprehensively understand participants’ relationship with working life by examining their occupational background, current working conditions, social security coverage, income sources, perceptions of job security, and work experiences during the pandemic. The aim is to analyze both the visible and invisible dimensions of employment in Turkey, precarious work practices, and individuals’ positions in the labor market within a multidimensional framework:

  • What is your profession or area of expertise, either through formal education or practical experience?
  • What exactly do you do for a living at the moment? Regardless of your profession, what work do you do to earn income?
  • Are you currently looking for a job, additional work, or part-time work? If yes, for how long have you been searching?
  • Which of the following best describes your current employment status?
  • Have you ever worked in any job so far?
  • How many people work at your workplace?
  • If you personally have social security coverage related to health and retirement, which of the following applies to you?
  • Are social security insurance premiums paid on your behalf?
  • If you are working in an uninsured job, could you please state the reason?
  • On average, how many hours do you work per week?
  • How is the payment/salary/wage you receive for your work paid?
  • What are the two most important factors for you in a job?
  • If you were to lose your job, how likely do you think it is that you would find a new one?
  • What was your employment status before the pandemic, that is, before March 2020?
  • What situations did you experience regarding your job during the pandemic period?
  • If you were laid off or closed your workplace due to the pandemic, when did you start working again?
