The public perception of foreign policy in Turkey is significantly influenced by political identities, generational differences, and the media ecosystem. Whereas diplomatic visits used to be seen as a “state matter,” they have now become an issue “aligned with party identity.” Young people approach the issue with pragmatism and skepticism, while the older generation tends to act more on state reflexes. The media, meanwhile, acts as an echo chamber that deepens these differences.
