In a remarkable turn of events, Llewellyn’s departure from Cardiff 18 months ago has proved to be a blessing in disguise. The regional budget crash may have initially sparked his exit, but it has since paved the way for his resurgence. Llewellyn has found his stride, scoring five tries in six starts this season, and has been named in Warren Gatland’s autumn squad, alongside five other Gloucester players.

    Llewellyn’s Rugby Wanderlust

Llewellyn’s rugby wanderlust has been ignited, and he is now eyeing opportunities to expand his horizons. Drawing inspiration from his teammate, Roberts, who has enjoyed playing stints in England, France, Australia, and South Africa, Llewellyn is keen to embark on a similar journey.

“It was difficult to leave Cardiff, but with everything going on in Welsh rugby and the club unable to even make me an offer, it made the decision pretty easy,” Llewellyn reflects. “I had also always had an ambition to play in the English Premiership and one day, perhaps France as well. I still do, and I’d love rugby to take off in other countries like America. I’d love to have those experiences.”

With his impressive performances this season and his inclusion in the national squad, Llewellyn’s future prospects are looking bright. His desire to explore new rugby frontiers, both at home and abroad, has the potential to propel him to even greater heights.
